Founded in 1921 to perform Bach’s st Matthew Passion in the grote kerk, in naarden, the Netherlands bach society has grown over the past century into a leading vocal-instrumental ensemble of national and international importance.

OBJECTIVE
Developed the identity in such a way that the Dutch Bach Society can use its potential. The wish was the realization of a brand in which herritache could predominate and also have a consistent but iconic character.Intention of this (re) branding was that the Dutch Bach Society will actually be on display. mainly because of the broad target group, but also because of the competition.
SOLUTION
Skybox was therefore intended to create a fresh, aesthetic identity that fits both the musical craftsmanship and the heritage of the Dutch Bach Society. This translated into solid, highly dynamic graphic elements, with which we present content in an appealing way. All this with the help of photography that has undergone a contemporary character through photographic edits.

To support the identity, we have developed a graphic design language that gives the new identity more individuality and a younger and fresh look. The formal language is distilled from the ‘stained glass’ that comes from the churches where the Netherlands Bach society often gives its performances.
